Maybe it would have been better if Darcy had been attacked and turned into a vampire, but to establish him as someone who had been a vampire for hundreds of years irked me due to the resulting inconsistencies with the original story. I am not an Austen purist who thinks people should not dabble with a classic story I enjoyed Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as it was a parody that did not attempt to take itself too seriously. I have written some of my thought which give away plot points in white, you can read it by highlighting the section below.
